For the 24th of July we went to Butler Park just in time to have a little snack...

and see some fireworks! They were set off in a parking lot right in front of us. It was totally awesome!

On the walk back to the car I learned what great handles

Horseback Riding at the Cabin

Here I am riding Sailor. I have ridden a pony before, but this was my first time riding a real horse!
I was a little nervous at first (my mom could tell by the death grip I had on her arms) but I quickly warmed up and held on all by myself while papa led me around the field.

The Bouvine Buzzard 2008

Every year my Papa and Grandpa Blake golf in the Bouvine Buzzard in Midway. This year they were on the same team and we all go up for the weekend and play.
Here we are just hanging out in front of the Homestead until the boys are done golfing.

I got a "neigh" (horse) from the Homestead and he really likes eating my chips.
My papa's team won 2nd place. My papa is the best!! Waa-Hoo
